Once on level 3, look at the visual aids to find your counter number and destination. At the check-in counter you will need your plane ticket or boarding pass with the number and, of course, your passport. It is advisable that one member of the group takes charge of the passport and tickets when checking in, as this will help you sit together if you have not pre-booked seats on the flight.

When checking in, your luggage will be weighed and excess baggage charges will be applied if your bags exceed the permitted number of kilograms. Your bags will be placed in the hold of the plane and you will receive a receipt for each piece. They will also receive a boarding pass for each person traveling. The check-in counter will tell you the number of the boarding gate from which you will board. Please take note of this and monitor your gate departure screens and calls.

Once you have checked in and are in possession of your passport, boarding pass, airline ticket and baggage receipt, you will need to take the escalator to level 4 and immediately proceed to the security checkpoints located at both ends of the escalator. This can be a long process to allow enough time. They will be given a clear plastic tray to place all loose items, including belts, watches, etc. All trays must pass through the scanners separately. It’s worth checking with your own airline about what they can bring into the cabin when confirming your own return flights.

After passing through security, enter the main tax payment area, where you will find restaurants, shops and other facilities. Head to the boarding gates remembering that it is a long walk. When your flight is about to board, you will need to show your passport and boarding pass at the boarding gate.
